Product Overview
The Reflective Infrared Photoelectric Tube is designed to enhance the safety of automatic doors and gates by detecting obstacles in their path, preventing collisions. It works by emitting an infrared beam from the transmitter module (TX) and detecting it with the receiver module (RX). If the beam is interrupted by an object or person, the receiver activates the relay and alerts the installation control unit.
Key Features
-
Dual Module System: The system includes an infrared transmitter (TX) and a receiver (RX), which work together to detect obstructions.
-
Obstacle Detection: When the infrared beam from the transmitter is blocked, the receiver triggers a relay to notify the control unit.
-
Wide Application: Ideal for use in automatic gates, garage doors, sliding doors, and various safety locations such as warehouses and parking lots.
-
Range: Detection distance of up to 15-20 meters, depending on setup and environment.
-
Power Supply:
- Receiver (RX) requires a 3V supply.
- Transmitter (TX) works with a 12-24V DC or AC supply.
-
Low Power Consumption:
- Transmitter power consumption: 0.1mA.
- Receiver power consumption: 17mA.
-
Installation Flexibility: Features a 180° rotation angle for optimal sensor positioning.
How It Works
The Reflective Infrared Photoelectric Tube operates by sending an infrared beam from the transmitter (TX) to the receiver (RX). If the beam is obstructed by an object or person, the receiver activates the corresponding relay, and the LED indicator will turn on, signaling that the beam has been interrupted. This system helps prevent accidents or damage to doors or gates by halting their movement when an obstruction is detected.
Specifications

Installation Instructions
-
Power Connections: Ensure all electrical connections are complete before powering on the sensor.
-
Reflector Position: Install the reflector facing the sensor. Adjust the sensor to align with the center of the reflector.
-
Sensor Positioning: The sensor should be installed below 300mm from the ground and under 200mm from the door leaf, depending on the installation situation.
-
Sensor Alignment: Position the transmitter and receiver modules as closely aligned as possible to ensure proper detection.
-
Avoid Blind Spots: When installing, make sure to avoid blind spots where the sensor might fail to detect obstacles.
-
LED Indicator: Once the receiver correctly detects the infrared beam, the normally closed contact remains closed, and the LED light stays off. If the beam is interrupted, the contact will open, and the LED will turn on.
Applications
This Reflective Infrared Photoelectric Tube is commonly used in a variety of security and automation applications:
- Automatic Doors and Gates: To prevent collisions by detecting objects in the door's path.
- Garage Doors: Enhances safety by detecting obstacles before the door closes.
- Security Systems: In residential, commercial, and industrial settings for motion detection and obstacle monitoring.
- Automated Barriers: Common in parking lots and gate systems.
